Charles E. Wagner

Charles E. Wagner, age 79, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 30, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Charles F. and Frances (Stritzel) Wagner.

A graduate of Whitmer High school, class of 1962, he went on to further his education at the University of Toledo. Charles was a hard dedicated worker, working at Toledo Heater for over 40 years. Charles was a self-taught computer genius; he knew everything about computers and enjoyed tinkering and the challenges that he faced. He liked to travel with his family all over the country. During that time, he enjoyed relaxing while fishing and camping. Charles liked to bake and go to Vegas to the casinos. Charles was very helpful and would do anything for anybody. A family man, family was number one in his eyes. He looked forward to the big family reunions and Fourth of July parties. Charles will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Arlene (Amweg) Wagner, whom he married on September 7, 1963; children, Lisa (Mark) Otto, Carla (Geno) Boggs, and Matthew (Lindsey) Wagner; grandchildren, Mark (Riley) Otto, Jenna Otto, Ella Wagner and Nash Wagner; great granddaughter, Violet Otto; and sisters, Beverly Freshour and Bonnie (Robert) Owens.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Sue Williams.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo with Memorial Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home
