Charles F. Wagner, age 89, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2006 in his home. He was born September 17, 1917 to Harry and Grace (Winesburg) Wagner in Toledo. Charles was employed as a Tool & Die Maker with the former AP parts for 18 years. He was also a former member of the Boaz Masonic Lodge. Charles enjoyed traveling with his wife Fran as well as camping and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and cherished the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Karolyn Wagner and brothers, Harry and Russ Wagner. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Fran S. (Stritzel) Wagner; daughters, Beverly (Royden) Freshour and Bonnie (Bob) Owens; son, Charles (Arlene) Wagner; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law; Wilma (David) Pegorsch and Barbara (Edward) Widanka. Charles also leaves behind his best friend and canine companion, "Sammy".
The family will receive guests Friday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 12:30 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Waverly Earley. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
