Charles Henry Proctor, Jr. was born January 13, 1945, in Lynchburg, VA to the union of the late Charles Henry Proctor, Sr. and Lulu Virginia Anderson.
Charles accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He was preacher of the word of God. Everywhere he went he spoke the word of God and his goodness. Anyone he talked to, he made sure he talked about the Lord, praying and made sure they knew who God was and is. Charles would call you on the phone just to pray if nothing else was to be talked about.
He graduated from Cardoza High School in Lynchburg, VA, in 1963. Charles moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1975. He worked for the Federal Government, Chrysler Corp. in Detroit MI, Security Guard and numerous other jobs.
Charles loved spreading the word of God, dancing, fishing the outdoors painting and having fun. Charles was a jokester for sure, he loved making people laugh.
Charles departed this life Sunday, March 30, 2023. Charles was proceeded in death by his sister Julia Ann Proctor (Warren) his brothers Algie Verjus Proctor and John Howard Proctor. Charles leaves to cherish his brother Frank Grayson Baldwin Proctor, his sister's Madeline Carroll Proctor and Patricia Ann Proctor his children: Chiquita Sellers (Woodrow), Cynitha Proctor, Daniel Earl Proctor, Queen Victoria Carroll (Leo), Joshua Emanuel Proctor, Magdalene Proctor, Charles Proctor, III (Cynthia), Tabitha Proctor, Rachel Damond (Kevin), Uriel Proctor, Valarie Proctor and a host of grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12th with a service immediately following at 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.
