Charles May

Charles L. May, age 78 of Toledo passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in The Toledo Hospital. He was born in Covington, Virginia on March 15, 1933 to Charley and Wilda (Wheeler) May. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Charles retired from CSX after 31 years of service as a brakeman. He was a member of the U.T.U., enjoyed watching Nascar and he especially enjoyed cheering for his favorite driver, Tony Stewart. Most importantly, Charles was dedicated to caring for his family and he always put their needs before his own.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia A. (Daniels) May; three sons, Randal May, Charles D. (Laurie) May and Jason (Renee) May; six grandchildren, Miranda, Kaleb, Anakin, Joelie, Lindy and Brooke; three sisters, Jean, Ada and Nancy; and dear friend for many years, Chuck Gilson.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm. (Noon) at Heritage Baptist Church, 5542 Lewis Ave., Toledo, Ohio.
