Charles L. Ballard, age 27 of Toledo, Ohio moved on to brighten up the skies with his mesmerizing smile on September 28, 2002. He attended Woodward High School and earned his GED in 1996. Charles took great pride in his position as a longshoreman at Toledo World Ind. He felt the love and strength of the Lord at an early age.
Charles was preceded in death by his father; Edward Charles Ballard Sr. and grandparents; John Taylor, Ardella Taylor and Agaitha Thompson. He leaves to cherish is wonderful memory his mother; Henrietta (Merle Friess) Taylor, loving girlfriend; Nicole Gutierrez, daughter; Princess Raquel, stepdaughter; Brianna, stepson; Nicoles, sisters; Lisa A Moye, Tracy A. (Glenn) Cross brothers; Robert L. (Barb) Moye Jr., Edward Charles (Johonie) Ballard Jr., Mark A. McCoy Jr. 2 stepsisters, 4 stepbrothers, 6 nieces, 5 nephews, very special family members; his "Little Garfield"; Kesha Davis, the Stevens Family, the Neyland Family, stepmother; Bridget Montgomery and a host of other family members and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Indiana Missionary Baptist Church, 640 Indiana Ave. where services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Officiating will be Dr. John E. Roberts. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements handled by the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300
