Charles E. Johnson, affectionately known as Chuck, was born on June 23, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on October 19 2024, in Swanton, Ohio. A dedicated family man and a cherished member of his community, Chuck leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and shared memories.

Chuck spent his career working on the railroad and was an esteemed member of the Teamsters Local 20, where his commitment to his work was evident. He was well-respected among his colleagues, and his contributions to the industry were notable.

Chuck was a man whose presence brought joy to those around him. Always sporting a warm smile, he enjoyed joking around and light-hearted interactions with friends and family. Chuck was very much a what you see is what you get kind of man. His love for life was reflected in his many hobbies; he spent countless hours playing pool and Texas Hold'em, often thriving in the camaraderie those games provided. Additionally, he found great joy at the campground, creating lasting memories in the great outdoors.

Music was a significant part of Chuck's life, and he took pride in his ability to play guitar and sing. For many years, he entertained audiences at various bars around the Toledo area, where his musical talent shone brightly.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, April Johnson; his devoted children, Beth Ann Whitt, Chuckie Johnson, and Alexa Johnson; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Johnson, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will dearly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Johnson; his mother, Helen Johnson; and his brother, Bill Johnson.

Chuck's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A life characterized by love, laughter, and meaningful relationships, he will be remembered as a beacon of positivity and kindness. His spirit will be deeply missed by his family and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
