Charles J. Miley

Charles J. Miley, age 92, formerly of Adrian, Michigan, passed away October 31, 2015 at his home. He was born October 9, 1923 in Wapakoneta, Ohio to Harry and Florence (Koehl) Miley. Charles served his country in the US Army Air Corps with the 89th Signal Operation Batallion attached to the 8th Army. He was employed with the Wacker Chemical Corporation as Division Controller for more than 21 years retiring in 1983. Charles was a former treasurer for Goodwill Industries in Adrian and past treasurer of the Adrian First United Methodist Church. He was also very active with Junior Achievement in Adrian.

Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Grace D. Miley; children, Gary (Lois) D. Miley, Lawrence J. Miley, Thomas (Karen) D. Miley and Lynn (William) D. Gors; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Harry and Walter.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 3:00 pm. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Maumee United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Charles' memory.
