Charles Harmon, age 62, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on February 23, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Charles E. and Anita (Hyde) Harmon.
Charles had worked at Lot Industries for over 25 years, where he had retired, and was a resident of Rainbow Homes for 20 years. Though he was playfully known by his friends as "Grumpy Gus", he had a heart of gold, was a fighter, and would do anything for anybody. Though he kept to himself, he would help his friends who always needed it. Charles enjoyed riding bikes, purchasing vacuum cleaners, vans, riding trains, watching old westerns, and wearing comfy jogging pants. A few of his favorite go to snacks were Snicker bars, Pepsi, and meat lover's pizza. He always enjoyed the bi-weekly trips to the store where he would grab his favorite snacks and shop for a few of his favorite items.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his friends, Vivian Bennett, Nicky Robinson, Charles Dickerson, David Griffin, Mark Holtzscher, and other special friends at Rainbow. Along with the staff at Lot Industries; and his Service Support Specialist through Lucas County, Meredith Brown-Grycza.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, where his funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm.
