Charles E. "Charlie" Rhobasser, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at home. He was born on July 28, 1938 to Frederick and Florence (Voltaire) Rhobasser in Toledo. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly. He was employed with Schultz Homes for 28 years before retiring. Charlie liked to frequent flea markets and grocery shop. He was an animal lover, excellent cook and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Rhobasser; daughters, Tina Tavarez and Sandra Rhobasser; infant grandson, David; brother, Frederick; sisters, Agnes and Catherine Rhobasser; and son-in-law, James "Paul" Garner, September 11, 2014. Charlie is survived by his loving daughters, Tammy Garner and Theresa Rhobasser; son-in-law, Greg Tavarez; grandchildren, Ann Marie (Steve), Gregory (Amanda), Michael (Yuleidis), Tamra and Paula; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Rhobasser; sister, Lucille Blessing; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
