Charles "Chuck" D. Dunn, Jr.
Chuck passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with his family surrounding him. Chuck was born to Charles and Clara (Harper) Dunn on September 2, 1947 in Louisville, KY. His family moved several times between Louisville and Toledo, Chuck moved to Toledo in 1966.
He met Karen Young at church and they eventually married in October 1968 after his return from serving in the Army in Vietnam. He still had a short time until his discharge and he honored his fallen comrades by becoming the lead on the funeral detail. He traveled to many areas accompanying the soldiers to their final resting place.
Chuck and Karen divorced and went their separate ways but found each other again in the early 90's. Chuck worked in sales with many companies but eventually had his own company in Holmes County called "Mysons." Both of his boys worked with him until he retired. Chuck then came to live in Perrysburg in 2017.
Chuck is survived by Karen (Young) Gurtzweiler; daughter, Cheryl (David) Baum of Toledo; sons, Beau, Sr. of Berlin, OH and Michael of Millersburg, OH; grandson, Beau Jr. of Berlin, OH; brother, Owen (Cecelia) Dunn of Toledo; sisters, Penny (Bob) Reese of Toledo and Karen Langdon of Louisville, KY; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon and brothers, Benjamin and Terry.
Per Chuck's request burial will be private. The family would like to thank Dr. R. Phinney, Dr. J. Otting, Dr. D. Parikh through all of Chuck's treatments. Also the many nurses and staff who cared for Chuck at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
