Charles S. Case

Charles S. "Bud" Case, age 75, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Friday, January 3, 2020 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born on June 28, 1944 to Charles E. and Gertrude (Lincoln) Case in Toledo. Bud was self-employed contractor for many years before retiring. He was a jack of all trades, mastering everything he did. Bud enjoyed spending time with family. His smile and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and James Case. Bud is survived by his wife, Jan Case; children, Charles "Chipper" (Susan) Case, Jr., Lisa (Anthony) Johansen, Melody (Jon) Dunphy, Ronda Matheny and Carl Matheny; grandchildren, Stephanie, Danielle, Joshua, Ashley, Matthew, Greg, Alex, Tyler, Damian, Chris, and Andrew; as well as several great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Thiel; special friend, Bruce (Marina) Lung; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43617 (419-392-9500) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to his caregivers, especially Carolyn, Wanda, and Diana for all of their love, care and support given to Bud and his family through this difficult time.
