Charles C. Beck, 69, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2013. He was born on June 12, 1943 to the late Grace and Clyde Beck in Toledo, Ohio.
Charlie retired from the Toledo Police Department in 1991 after 26 years of service. He was one of the founders of Safe-T-City in 1977. After retirement, Charlie worked at Signature Bank for several years. He was an avid Michigan Wolverine and Tigers fan. Charlie loved to be outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Hayes. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Judy; children, Jodie (Jon) and Craig (Jodi) Beck; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Katie (Andy), Justin, Dylan, Patrick and Jessica and great-grandchildren, Abigail and George

The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Aden Porter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
