Charles Leo Brown, lovingly known as Chuck, departed this world on October 10, 2023, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 91. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Chuck lived a profoundly meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.

Chuck was a man who embraced life with a deep appreciation and joy. His 70th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Rosie, in October was a testament to their enduring love and commitment, exemplifying the values of loyalty and devotion. Chuck had a remarkable gift for humor, bringing laughter and mirth to all who had the pleasure of his company. Alongside his quick wit, Chuck possessed an unwavering work ethic, dedicating his early years to rehabbing homes and establishing a successful rental business. His commitment and craftsmanship were unparalleled. He also spent 30 years at Libbey Owens Ford, where he excelled as a template maker before retiring.

Chuck's unwavering sense of duty led him to serve his country with honor and bravery in the Army during the Korean War. His selfless sacrifice and unwavering dedication to defending the principles he held dear will forever be remembered and cherished.

In his leisure time, Chuck spent many years coaching boys baseball teams. He was a successful coach and the boys loved him. Additionally, Chuck found immeasurable joy in the presence of his grandchildren, cherishing each precious moment spent with them. He was comfortable playing Snow White with his granddaughters and baseball with his grandsons.

Chuck's memory lives on through his beloved family. His devoted wife, Rose Brown, stood by his side throughout their journey, providing unwavering love and support. He is survived by his daughter, Shelley Milano, his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Heather Brown, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Angelina Milano, Lauren Lanza, Nick Brown, Eric Brown, and Giuliana Lanza. He is also survived by five great grandchildren. Each of them holds cherished memories of their time with Papa, memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

The legacy of Chuck's life and the profound impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him will be honored and celebrated. In this time of mourning, family will gather privately. Though his absence will be deeply felt, his spirit and the memories shared will serve as a beacon of light and inspiration.
