Charles V. Banks, age 84, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Heartland Holly Glenn Nursing Home. He was born on September 24, 1921 in Americus, GA.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Harriet (Mumford) Banks; daughter: Reva (James) Boykin; son: Harry Woods; 19 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister: Lillian Lyons; and brother: William (Ruth) Banks.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 daughters, 1 son, 1 sister and 1 brother.
The family will receive guests on Monday, November 14, 2005 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) where a Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Pastor John Algee officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Those wishing to express monetary donation are asked to consider St. Martin dePorres Church.
