Charles D. Austin, Sr.

Charles D. "Chuck" Austin, Sr., age 55, of Toledo, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born on January 9, 1968 to Ruth Austin in Toledo, OH. Chuck went to Libbey High School. He had a passion for health & fitness and working out. Chuck loved animals, especially dogs. He liked photography and taking selfies. Chuck was strong in his faith and loved the Lord; he enjoyed sharing his faith daily with others. He loved spending time with his family, most importantly his children and grandchildren. Chuck's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by sister, Denise Staple. Left to cherish Chuck's memory are his loving children, Charles D. Austin, Jr., Christina Austin and Kentyra Tyler; grandchildren, Charles III, Nadara, Yamir, Chy'Arah, Christian, Carter, and Phoenix; siblings, Gail (Edward) Awls, Dale (Noble) Austin, Chavella Austin, Frederica (Reggie) Ware, Alela (Lloyd) Brown, Michelle Austin, and Miracle Warren; girlfriend, Patricia Spikes; special friend, Linda Elston, the Good Times Barber Shop & the Rat Pack family; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
