Charlene Hulsey

Charlene "Char" Hulsey, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2012 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 30, 1935 to Joseph and Hazel (Hobling) Drepps in Toledo. One cannot speak about Char without speaking about her Christian Faith. Her faith guided and defined her walk through life. Char was a champion of the spiritual path, a woman with a passion for God and people. Christ allowed her to comfort those in need. Char's great warmth and memorable laugh endeared her to many. Though she was called home to her Lord, her spirit lives on in the great love she embodied during her time on earth.

Char is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Kenneth Hulsey; children, Tim (Connie) Ulmer, Darcy (Joe) Dusseau, Julie (Todd) Parke, Jenny (Joe) Viertlbeck, Kristin (Don) Fritsch and Molli (Jennifer) Ulmer; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to share in the Celebration of Charlene's Life on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 4930 Flanders Rd., Toledo, OH 43623. The Newcomer Funeral Home assisted the family with professional services (419-473-0300).

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
