Charlene M. Dane

Charlene M. Dane, age 85, of Perrysburg, formerly of Toledo, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Manor of Perrysburg. She was born on July 25, 1937 to Chas and Magdalena Williams in Toledo, Ohio, being the youngest of 7 children. Charlene was a homemaker most of her life, but helped her husband Robert Sr. run the family business doing the bookkeeping. They owned and operated Dinette Showcase for over 15 years while raising 3 children. She was strong in her Christian faith and loved the lord. Charlene enjoyed playing the piano, bowling, golfing and bird watching. She also loved classical music and attending the symphony. Charlene's passion was her family, especially the love for her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Charlene's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Dane Sr.; daughter, Jennifer Dane; and 6 siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Wendy Dane and Robert (Dee) Dane Jr.; grandchildren, Darla, Dylan, Logan, and Dominic; great-grandson, Axl; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
