Charlene D. Ramsey, 63, went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2012. She was born on December 20, 1948 to the late Dorothy and Edwin Meek in Toledo, Ohio.
Charlene worked as an Executive Secretary for 30 years at Owens Corning Fiberglass. She graduated from Woodward High School. Charlene married the love of her life, Roger Ramsey on August 17, 1975. She and Roger loved spending time at their summer home in Ohio and their winter home in Florida.
In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her brother, James Meek. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 37 years, Roger; children, Doug, Randy (Lisa), Rod (Lisa); siblings, RoseMarie Kallil, Thomas (Jo Ellen), Marjorie Zmijewski, Patricia (Gary) Hudson; sister-in-law, Gail Meek; grandchildren, Jullian, Madeline, Elizabeth, Alisa, Alex; beloved best friend of 30 years, Darlene Seiling; and blessed with a loving caregiver, Brenda Lagrou.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 24 at 3:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran, 5520 Fremont Pike in Stony Ridge.
Charlene was one of the strongest and bravest women; she was in a tragic accident over 7 years ago that left her a complete quadriplegic on life support. Her spirit always remained positive through adversity. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her and Roger will always carry his love for her through the rest of his life.
