Cecilia B. Lumbrezer

Cecilia Lumbrezer, age 93, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Otterbein Sunset Village. She was born to August and Matilda Dietrich in Toledo, Ohio. Cecilia was a homemaker who loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally. She was a member of St. Catherine Church where she enjoyed being involved with activities including the Marian Society and the Boutique Booth. Cecilia prayed the rosary and watched mass every day, she loved EWTN and the Blessed Virgin. She was a proud Central Catholic High School alum, and she enjoyed going to their luncheons. Cecilia enjoyed bird watching, bingo, bunco, word searches, and family dinners. Cecilia looked for the good in everyone and always tried to be friendly to everyone she met. She enjoyed sending and receiving cards for birthdays, holidays, and other celebrations. She will be remembered for her reminders to take things “One day at a time.”

In addition to her parents, Cecilia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Herman Lumbrezer, and was the last of her 7 siblings. She is survived by her children, Gary (Sandy) Lumbrezer; Carol (John) Wright; Patricia (David) Church and Nancy (Gary) Brock; grandchildren, Sharon (Greg); Melanie; Ken; John (Sarah); Keith (Kendra) and Jacob; great grandchildren, Fionna, Cameron, and Brynn; step granddaughter, Amy; 3 step great grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Monday, August 12, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 2649 US-20, Swanton, OH 43558, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am. Graveside Services will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery (across the street).

The family would like to express much gratitude to all the staff of Otterbein Sunset Village, especially the caregivers from Barlow, for their love and kindness.'
