Cecile Ayers

Cecile L. Ayers, age 84 passed away Tuesday, August 17th , 2010 surrounded by her loving family at The Toledo Hospital. She was born March 20th, 1926 to Joseph and Sarah (Ray) Henderson in Knoxville, Tennessee. Cecile was a member at Bay View Golf Course where she also volunteered for 5 years. She was a great cook and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her grandchildren were very important to her, she loved to spend time supporting and attending them at their sporting and school events. Cecile's family will remember her as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Lewis "Frank" Ayers; children, Danny (Joyce) Ayers, Pam (Terry) Sullivan, Nancy (Steve) Haynes and Donny (Misty) Ayers; grandchildren, Rick, Steve, Tracy, Jeffrey, Amy, Jason, Steven, Brooke, Caitlin, John and James; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brandon, Delaney, Shyler, Shaylin and Shevy.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be her son, Assistant Pastor, Donny R. Ayers. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
