Cecil H. McCourt, loving husband of Mary E. (Coyle) McCourt for 67 years went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2013. He faithfully and lovingly served his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cecil was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Pacific, and was privileged to visit the World War II Memorial through the Honor Flight Program. His true passion was leading people to Christ, visiting shut-ins and handing out Gospel tracts. He fought a good fight and he kept the faith. He was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and actively served there.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Marcia (Butch) Stover and son, Rick (Allie) McCourt; grandson, Christopher McCourt and great-granddaughter, Victoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Amanda McCourt and all his siblings.
