Catherine White

Catherine White, age 98, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away Thursday, November 26th, 2009 at her home. She was born July 6th, 1911 to William and Mary (Ryan) Chinni in Toledo. Catherine was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a longtime parishioner of Little Flower Catholic Church and a recent member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance. Catherine enjoyed ceramics and was also an avid bowler in her day.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Robert L. White, Sr.; sisters, Isabelle Mowrey and Victoria Chinni; brothers; Julius; Leo; Raymond and Michael Chinni; step-father, Sabastian DiNardo, Sr. and stepbrothers, Sabastian, Jr.; William and Joseph DiNardo. Catherine is survived by her loving sons, Bob (Kathy) White, Jr. of Sylvania and Jim (Faye) White of Lambertville; grandchildren, Becky Eby; Julie Ialacci; Mary (Shawn) Kunckel; Dan White; Kelly (Michael) Gaytan and Patrick White; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; sisters, Genevieve Altenberg and Mary Barnes; brothers, William; Dante (Maryann) and George (Sharon) Chinni; step-sisters, Rose Giese and Grace Albright. Catherine is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300)with a Rosay being recited at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 9:15 a.m. in the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
