Catherine Whitaker

Catherine "Cathy" Whitaker, age 62, of Toledo, passed away Monday, August 14, 2006 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born on January 14, 1944 in Little Rock, AK. Cathy was a very talented and creative person. She was also very caring and giving, always looking for someone to help, no matter what the circumstances. She had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Wayne Whitaker; son: Scott (Macaela Carder) Whitaker; step-daughters: Elaine Cousino and Cynthia (Carl) Daniels; grandchildren: Duff, Elizabeth and David; mother: Agnes Poland; sister: Stella (Gregory) Ransom; half-sister: Dori (Bernard) Church; and 4 nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother Spencer Goodnight.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 17, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Bible Chapel, 3740 W. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Andy J. Hill.
