Catherine Jean "Cathy" Saine

Catherine Jean “Cathy” Saine, age 65, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 1, 1959 to Patrick and Joann Saine in Alexandria, VA. Cathy was devoted to her family and friends. She loved her dogs and cats. Cathy had a passion for music, going to concerts, plays and was a season ticket holder for the Toledo Mud Hens. She was always the kitchen helper preparing great food dishes with her mom and her family. Cathy truly was a gift to anyone she met, her smile lit up a room and you knew you had a friend for life. She liked gardening, flowers, bird watching and feeding all the local wildlife. Cathy was a very accomplished artist; she has art hanging around the country (on many refrigerators/offices). Later in life she enjoyed decorating pottery. Despite everything Cathy had been through she was very resilient. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Catherine Jacquot. Left to cherish Cathy’s memory are her loving siblings, Joseph (Lynn Jacquot) Saine, Patrick (Debbie) Saine, Michael (Karen) Saine, and Mary Saine; Aunt, Patricia Burcin; The Jaffee Family; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear dear friends and her beloved dog, Dottie. 

The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
