Catherine Orwig
Catherine Ruth Orwig, age 87, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006 in Lake Park Care Center. She was born July 19, 1919 to Louis and Nettie May (Irick) Smith in Akron, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Clair E. Orwig; son, Duane Orwig; great grandson, Jonathan Harris; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Catherine is survived by her children, Janice (John) Harris; Susan (Dale) Zolciak; LuAnn (Ron) Masell and Douglas (Yvonne) Orwig; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Helen) Smith; sister, Verna Fatiga; sisters-in-law, Lois Arman and Margaret Kauble and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Catherine's family would like to thank the entire staff of Lake Park Care Center for the loving care and support they provided.
