Catherine Gochenour

Catherine A. "Murr" Gochenour, age 67, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. On April 2, 1942 she was born to James and Georgia (Guthrie) Murray in Toledo, Ohio. On September 7, 1963 she married Dale Gochenour at the Rosary Cathedral in Toledo, Ohio. Catherine graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1960. She worked at JcPenny's for a number of years in the credit department. Catherine also worked at the Toledo Clinic as a receptionist. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crossword puzzles. Her family will remember her as a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. Catherine was a doting grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed attending their sporting events.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dale; children, Michael (Sheryl) Gochenour, David Gochenour, Lisa (John) Glanz; grandchildren, Samantha, Korey, Nicholas and Christina Gochenour; August, Emerson and Quinn Glanz; sisters, Sue (Jack) Fischer, Barb Gochenour; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 3-4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Father William Rose.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to a charity of the donor's choice.
