Catherine Gilbert

Catherine S. (Burgard) Gilbert, age 45 of Toledo passed away on Thursday, December 16th, 2004 at Hospice of northwest Ohio. Born in Toledo on September 6, 1959, she was the daughter of Robert and Joanne (Kaszynski) Burgard. Cathy was blessed with an incredible daughter Sarah Podgorski, who cared for daily until she took her very last breathe. Sarah would like to thank the loving staff at Hospice for their wonderful care and support during her mother's final days. "Happy" as she was knownto her Grandbabies Isaiah and Julian (Juju) was happiest when she was spending time with Sarah and her boys. Cathy is survived by her daughter Sarah and her grandbabies Isaiah and Julian with whom she made her home, father Robert Burgard and his wife Jere, brothers, Bob, Tom, Greg and Michael Burgard, sisters, Terry Burgard, Pat (Bob) Pitzen, Shirley Tucholski and Jan (Jeff) Moore and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her mother Joanne, sister Marie and Grandparents Dr. Leonard and Mrs. Frances Kaszynski.

Visitaton will be in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from 5-7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with Pastor Les Hobbins of Lewis Avenue Baptist Church.
