Catherine A. Freeman

Catherine A. "Cathy" Freeman, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born on May 16, 1943 to Herald and Bertha (Jacob) Butler in Toledo. Cathy worked for Western & Southern Insurance Company for 30 years, later retiring. She held various positions while employed with Western & Southern. Cathy was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church where she was involved with the Alter Guild. She enjoyed reading and using her creative talents on plastic canvas. Most important to Cathy was caring for her family, especially her husband of 36 years, Harold.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Harold Freeman; dear cousins and best friend for over 50 years, Barbara Rizor. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Minor Butler.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 5240 Talmadge Rd., Toledo, OH 43623. Memorial Services will begin in the church at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Joe Keblesh, Jr. officiating.
