Casey L. Hem

Casey L. Hem, age 39, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 25, 1982 to Gregory and Wanda (Ellis) Molter in Sylvania, Ohio. Casey was a 2000 graduate of Whitmer High School. She became a nurse and continued her education through Lourdes College. Casey currently worked at Anders Dermatology in the Mohs lab which she was truly proud of and enjoyed. Her proudest accomplishments were being a boy mom, Army mom and football mom. Casey was always involved with her children's sporting events, and school activities. She was an active member of the FRG (Family Readiness Group) and St. Clement Church. Casey enjoyed spending time with her fellow co-workers and friends. Her greatest joy was being with her entire family. Casey's genuine love for people, her laugh, and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Marcia Molter; and Dave and Sammie Machcinski; aunt and godmother, Grace Jolley. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul, III; married for 15 years, together for 25 years; sons, Adam, Dominic and Ethan Hem; mother, Wanda Molter; father, Gregory Molter; in-laws, Paul (Dee) Hem, Jr. and Debbie (John) Wilder; brother, Gregory (Michelle) Molter; nephews, Corey, Luke, Brysen and Caden; brother-in-law, Alex (Megan) Hem; nephews, Colin, Gabriel and Trigg; sister-in-law, Alaina (Eric) Wright; dearest cousin who was like her sister, Amber; goddaughter, Brooklyn Marie; close cousins, Stacia, and Katelyn; sisters-in-law, Jessica, Jennifer and Jacqueline; dear auntie, Chris (Bill); uncles, Brian (Shelly) and Jon (Kristi); godfather, Donald (Sue); aunt, Vicki; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Mass will begin Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, OH 43613 with visitation in church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
