Carrie Repass, born on April 18, 1975, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and childhood friend. Carrie's vibrant spirit and contagious laughter will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carrie's honesty and directness made her a beloved presence in the lives of family and friends. She had a unique ability to make those around her feel valued, as there was never any guessing where she stood with them. Her strong personality was complemented by a sharp wit that brought joy to countless gatherings. She was known for her loyalty and genuine care for others.
As a devoted family member, Carrie placed an unwavering emphasis on her family. Her proudest accomplishments were illustrated through her unconditional love and dedication to her husband, Ken Repass Jr., to whom she was married for 29 wonderful years. Together, they nurtured their two daughters, Kayla Salafia (Zach Salafia), and Mariah Repass, who will carry her memory forward. Carrie embraced her role as a grandmother to Amelia with immense pride and joy.
Carrie's interests were as vibrant as her personality. She cherished day trips to Amish Country, as well as the thrill of time spent at the casino. Furthermore, she found great happiness in being a stay-at-home grandmother, creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Carrie was the daughter of Tina Johnson (Dave Johnson), and the cherished sister to Brittni Flores ( Miguel Flores) and Brenjha Jacobsen. She was a loving stepdaughter to Sally Jacobsen, and was a beloved daughter-in-law to Mary Repass. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Jacobsen, and her father-in-law, Kenneth Repass Sr.
Her passing leaves behind a host of extended loving family members and friends, all profoundly impacted by her spirit and warmth. Those who wish to pay their respects may join in honoring Carrie’s life at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania, in Toledo, Ohio, on April 8, 2025. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and visitation to continue from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the incredible care team who supported Carrie throughout her journey with pancreatic cancer. A special thank you to Dr. Zarzour and the entire team at the Toledo Clinic Cancer Center, whose compassion, expertise, and support provided comfort during such a challenging time. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Simo and her dedicated team, whose kindness and skilled care made a world of difference to Carrie. Their professionalism, empathy, and dedication will never be forgotten, and we are forever grateful for the exceptional care they provided to her.
Carrie Repass will be deeply missed but will forever remain alive in the hearts and memories of those who loved her. Her legacy of honesty, loyalty, and infectious laughter will continue to inspire and uplift those who remember her.
