Carrie B. Ector

Carrie B. Ector, age 85, of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away peacefully Monday, December 14, 2020 at her granddaughter's home surrounded by loving family. She was born on June 28, 1935 to Veller Nunn in Mississippi. Carrie was employed with Home Instead for 17 years and she truly loved what she did. She was a devoted Jehovah Witness for over 40 years at the Toledo North Congregation. Carrie enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was known for her fried chicken and collard greens. Carrie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who would do anything for her family. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Lynn Ector on August 22, 2020; her half-sister, Mary Hoskins; and half-brother, Willie. Left to cherish Carrie's memory are her daughter, Michelle (Chuck) Combs; grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon) Kinsley, Brendon Combs, and Chelsea Combs; great-grandchildren, Blake, Jeremiah and Shayne; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). (For the safety of the Ector family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
