Carrie Demoe

Carrie E. DeMoe, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 13, 1927 in Grand Blanc, Michigan to Henry and Marion Lourden. Carrie was employed as an Inspector for the former Champion Spark Plug for 17 years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, UAW Local 12, Operating Engineers Local 18 and Pinochle Card Club. Carrie enjoyed playing cards, especially Skip-bo, poker and playing bingo. She loved to cook and bake, and known for the "best pies" and macaroni and cheese. The greatest love of Carrie's life was her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Kenneth "Mike" (Sue) DeMoe, Jerry (Laurie) DeMoe, Debra (Bob) Steinmiller, Don (Toni) DeMoe and Denise "Dee Dee" (Randy) Crouch; grandchildren, Donnie, Barb, Kristen, Lisa, Kenny, Cari, Stephanie, Melissa, Brittny, Dawn and Ashlee; great grandchildren, David, Ashleigh, Ethan, Bryce, Brynlee, Caitlynn, Haleigh, Connor, Ellivia, Aubree, Isaac, Caleb and one on the way; siblings, Helen Green, Jay Amos, Joanne Ferris and Katie Updike. In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. DeMoe; granddaughter, Brianne DeMoe; great grandson, Brendan Murphy and siblings, Bill Lourdon, Eddie Amos, Ephram Amos, Fern Edler, Dorothy Porter and special sister-in-law, Virginia LaLonde.

The family will receive guests Monday, October 1, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
