Carolyn J. Wanaks

Carolyn J. Wanaks, age 70, of Swanton, passed away May 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 13, 1951 in Toledo to G.W. and Dorothy Carter. Carolyn was a very talented painter. She enjoyed traveling up north into Michigan. She had a great love for her nieces and nephews always finding the perfect Christmas gift for each of them. Carolyn also loved her kitty "Katie."

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joe Wanaks; brother, Carl Carter; sisters Connie and Debroah; special friends, Janice Mallard, Sue Hess and Vicki Crace, sisters-in-law, Vicki Rucker, Helen Behrens and Michelle (William) Portteus; nephews and nieces, Tom (Sarah) Rutkowski, Dan (Lisa) Rutkowski, Brian (Tammy) Koontz, Kristy (David) Rucker-Gumpf, Danielle Portteus and William James (Sarah) Portteus.

The family will receive guests Friday, June 3, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Carolyn's memory.
