Carolyn Sue Friend

Carolyn Sue Friend, age 63, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at home. She was born on May 22, 1951 to Christopher and Cora (Shank) Mineff in Toledo. Sue was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lived out her faith daily. Sue enjoyed gardening, home decorating and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of almost 44 years, Warren Friend; children, Todd (Tracy) Friend and Kelly (Terry) Holmes; grandchildren, A.J., Hunter, Alex, Bryn, Allie, Logan, Mason, Brooke, Sawyer and Ryan; father-in-law, John Friend; sister, Joy (Dick) Jones; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, with visitation one hour prior at church. Interment will be private.
