Carolyn R. Jones

Carolyn R. Jones, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, June 29, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on April 24, 1932 to John and Ethel (Durham) Green in Toledo. Carolyn was a longtime member of Grace Apostolic Church and loved nothing more than serving the Lord. Carolyn cherished nothing more than the time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Jones on January 7, 2012; son, Keith McClelland; and sisters, Thelma Griffith, Betty Ellis and Verna Quinzon. Carolyn is survived by her loving children, Gregory (Althea) McClelland and Peggy McClelland; grandchildren, Charles (Kristin), Brian (Melody), Michael (Tanesha), Ericka (Ricky) and Whitley; 10 great-grandchildren; best friend and Pastor, Katherine White; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Church of New Beginnings, 4640 S. Detroit Ave., Toledo with Funeral Services beginning at 10:30 a.m. at church. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-381-1900) assisted the family with arrangements.
