Carolyn Murray

Carolyn L. Murray, age 87, resident of Sylvania, Ohio for over 62 years, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Franciscan Care Center. She was born on December 17, 1934, in Wauseon, Ohio, to the late John and Gladys (Andrews) Schenk.
Carolyn was a graduate of Libbey High School. She retired from Owens Corning prior to working at the Toledo Metro parks as an Executive Secretary, where she then retired at the age of 80. Carolyn enjoyed traveling with her husband and children around the United States, especially to Florida, where they would visit every summer making wonderful memories. She was very adventurous; Carolyn liked snow skiing, scuba diving, and creating art, such as making jewelry with shark teeth. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Ann Murray and Keith (Jami) Murray; five grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Murray, whom she married on February 19, 1955.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 10:00 am, with Father Auth officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
