Carolyn Couturier, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio passed away and went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Carolyn was born June 22, 1941, in Washington D.C. to the late John and Irene (Varble) Gray.
Carolyn was a hard and dedicated worker. She worked at Target for five years, where she retired. Before that, she worked for a short time at Cricket West as a health instructor and part-time at various jobs especially around the holidays; she always liked to stay productive. A passion for music, Carolyn had taught herself how to play the guitar at 5 years old. She had an artsy side to her as well; she was a very talented seamstress, enjoyed doing crafts, and crocheted beautifully pieces. Carolyn enjoyed watching the birds and flowers. She was the oldest one out of the last two generations. Her spunk, love, laugh, and smile will forever be missed!
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Charmaine Cranmore, Kathleen (Bob) Bortles, and Jacqueline Couturier; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and two sisters, Priscilla White and Mary Freudenthal.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bill Couturier; siblings, Donald Gray, Buddy Gray, and Esther Sterling; and the father of her children, Thomas Couturier.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm.
