Carolyn Brailey Williams, 93, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2013. She was born on August 1, 1919 to the late Orra L. Brailey and Cora Savage Brailey in Toledo, Ohio.
Carolyn graduated from Maumee High School. She pursued a career in modeling and radio in New York City. Carolyn was admired for her talent in making and designing her own clothing. She returned to Toledo and married James F. Williams, through their union they had 6 children. Carolyn retired as a Teacher's Aide with the Washington Local School System. She had a love of life and touched many people with her kindness and uplifting spirit.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, David, Thomas, John (Leigh), Mary (Steven) Graves, Julie Cook and Andrea Khalid; grandchildren, Ian (Kayla), Elizabeth (Tim), Jarad, Jordan, Megan (Jimmy), Stephanie (Erik), Jacob, Aaron and Geoffrey (Karla); great-grandchildren, Willow, Liam, Ethan and little Alexander on-the-way and her extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). The Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
