Caroline J. Lewandowski

Caroline J. Lewandowski, age 99, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance, MI. She was born on August 30, 1911 to Paul and Josephine (Sikora) Witaszek in Depew, New York. Caroline was a longtime member of Gesu Catholic Church. She was very devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lewandowski, grandson, Robert Lewandowski, great-granddaughter, Katie Cole, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Caroline is survived by her children, Carol Cole and Thomas (Margaret) Lewandowski; grandchildren, Nancy (Brian) Kosier, Daniel and Janice Cole, Ang (Paul) Mason, Michelle (Michael) Lundy and Paul (Kathi) Lewandowski; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Erin, Austin and Mitchell Kosier, Ben, Beth, Britt, Brianne, Sara and Jazmyn Cole, Jena and Paige Mason, Kate, Greta and Foster Lundy and Megan and Jason Lewandowski; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Prayer Services will begin Monday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Gesu Catholic Church, 2049 Parkside Blvd., Toledo. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
