Carole Tietjen

Carole J. Tietjen, age 75 of Maumee, passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 4, 2012. She was born to Roman R. Czajkowski and Lillian Malinowski in Toledo on December 29, 1936. Carole married George J. Tietjen on April 28, 1956 in Toledo, and they would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this spring. She worked in the real estate industry in Ohio and Michigan for nearly 20 years, later retiring from Century 21. She was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church; enjoyed spending time in St. Petersburg, Florida; fishing; playing cards and visiting with family. Her family will remember the holiday dinners that Carole hosted and the delicious food that she prepared for them.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George; sons, James (Theresa) Tietjen and Steven (Dawn Siravo) Tietjen; grandchildren, Kristin (Bryan) Dustman, Kelsie Tietjen, Taylor Tietjen and Zachary Tietjen; great-granddaugther, Alexis Dustman and a host of cousins.

The family will receive guests Friday from 3-7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A Scripture Service followed by a short homily will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Monday at 9:15 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd.
