Carole Ann Koerper, age 71, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 8, 1953 in Portland, Oregon to Fred and Marie (Nye) Feldman. She continued her education, graduating from Mercy School of Nursing. Becoming a Registered Nurse was a life goal and something Carole was so excited to attain. She began her nursing career at Mercy Hospital in Toledo and then moved onto working with Hospice of Northwest Ohio, until finally retiring from St. Vincent-Mercy Hospital after working more than 20 years in the medical field. Carole was a kind and gentle person and caring for people was her passion. She treated each patient as if they were her family. Through her career, Carole nurtured many lifelong friendships with her peers, patients and their families.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, treasuring every moment spent with family and friends. When it came to her grandchildren, Carole made every visit or outing special, filled with laughter, love and memories. As her own babies grew into adults and parents with children of their own, Carole's heart beamed with pride watching her family grow.
Carole was a talented seamstress making beautiful prom and homecoming dresses for her daughters. She also made the vail her daughter Jessica wore for her wedding. Carole's talents didn't stop with sewing, she was also an avid gardener tending to her "Better Homes and Gardens" worthy flowers. In addition to having a green thumb, she would also create seasonal wreathes and decorations with the flowers she grew and sometimes dried for her home and many others homes.
Carol will be remembered for her unending love and support for others, especially those in need. Her warm smile and the twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes will forever be a special memory for those she loved.
