Carole Sue Boos

Carole Sue Boos, age 80, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 7, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, to her birth father, Kenneth Shown and Mildred (Jim) (Mollenhauer) Shown-Bollin.

Carole graduated from DeVilbiss High School, class of 1961. She worked as a secretary at the Toledo Hospital for over 25 years. Carole enjoyed bird watching, plants, traveling to new places, and attending shows at the Stranahan Theatre. She played the piano beautifully and liked to play card games with her family and friends. Most of all, family was most important, especially her grandchildren, whom meant the world to her. The memories that were created will be remembered. This is not goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Linda Schlicher; step-son, Gregg Boos; grandchildren, Michael Schlicher (Kristen), Matthew Schlicher (Shyla), and Madisyn Schlicher (Christopher); special friend, Edward Grass; family friend, Cori Thayer; and many many many friends.

In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her son, Charles M. Boos.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services for Carole will take place on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the funeral home, at 11:00 am. Following the services at the funeral home, Carole will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carole's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 W. Dussel Drive #140, Maumee, Ohio 43537 or Heartland Hospice, 1718 Indian Wood Cir A, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
