Carol Lynn Voss, a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and compassionate caregiver, passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 48, with her loving family by her side. Carol was born July 13, 1976, in Cape May, New Jersey, to the late Christopher and Carol (Young) Voss.

Carol touched the lives of countless individuals during her years as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA). Her career was marked by a profound dedication to helping others, showcasing her commitment to the well-being of those she cared for.

With a remarkable milestone of 2,968 days sober, Carol's journey of recovery is a powerful reminder of her strength and determination. 

Carol’s life was enriched by her deep love for family. She found joy in spending time with her three sons and cherished every moment shared with her beloved granddaughter, Lilianna. Her pride in her family was evident to all, and her selfless nature meant that she was always there for those in need, whether in small daily acts of kindness or larger gestures that left a lasting impact.

Beyond her commitment to family and care giving, Carol had a vibrant passion for music and entertainment. She could often be found listening to various genres and always eager to attend concerts that brought her joy. Carol was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan along with the Ohio State Buckeyes! She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, she had a particular fondness for their Christmas movies, which filled her heart with warmth. Her evenings were often spent laughing along with the beloved antics of "Gossip Girl" or finding comfort in the iconic camaraderie of "The Golden Girls." These shows brought her joyful spirit and ability to cherish life's simple pleasures.

As we remember Carol, we think of her contagious laughter, unwavering support, and her genuine care for others. She leaves behind the memories of her love and enthusiasm for life. 

Carol will be deeply missed, but the impact she made on her family and the many lives she touched will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her…

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Xavier (Grace) Murray, Deric Murray, and Issiaha (Brianna) Murray; her loving granddaughter who was the light of her life, Lilianna; step-mom, Jennifer Voss; siblings, Sarah (Jason) Bach and Christopher (Kristy) Voss; step-brother, Raymond (Amanda) Voss; close friend and sponsor, Sherry (Keith) Willhauck; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents; special uncle, Kevin Voss; special aunt, Minnie Dowe; and many other loved ones. 

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623 on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 12:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to Racing For Recovery, which was a charity close to her heart.
