Carol R. Delano

Carol R. Delano, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Friday, December 9th, 2011 at Lake Park Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 29th, 1935 to Richard and Rosina (Brushaber) Krohn in Toledo. Carol was a Deli Clerk with the Kroger's at Holland Sylvania and King, retiring after 10 years of service. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with her lady friends at Luther Crest. Carol also loved attending Craft Shows. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Larry Delano, Sr. and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Larry Delano, Dianna (Mike) Lucas, Judy Delano, Sherry (Robert) Disher, Jon Delano and Dawn Emahiser; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and siblings, Kenny, Lillian, Sharon, Herman, George and Terry.

The family will receive guests Monday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
