Heaven gained another angel on December 30th, 2015 when Carol Lynn Perry, age 68, passed away unexpectedly. Carol was born on August 31, 1947 in Algona, Iowa to Owen Lyle and Betty Jean Humphrey. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Carol was happiest being surrounded by the people she loved the most. Her beautiful smile could only be outshone by her warm and generous heart. Caring for others was her passion and she spent over fifteen years as a CNA. Being a grandmother was her most loved role. She was never afraid to speak her mind and fight for what she believed in. She found her soul-mate when she met Richard George Perry. They were married on December 25th, 1987 and they spent the next 28 years enjoying the life they built and the family they loved.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Richard George Perry, daughter, Angela (Joe) Duris, Richards children whom she loved as her own; Sandy (Orville) Barnt, Chris (John) Cerveny and Rick (Angela) Perry, 12 grandchildren; Joey (Shana Augustyniak) Duris, Callyn (Andy Wright) Duris, Jeremy (Staci) Bondy, Josh (Liz) Bondy, Amanda Perry, Ricky (Traci) Perry, Jessica LaPointe, Nick (Kortnie) Cerveny, Sean (Christina) Perry, Ian Conley, Devon Perry, Katie Cerveny and many great grandchildren, siblings; David (Janice) Humphrey, twin brother, Calvin (Ursula) Humphrey, Steven (Judy) Humphrey, Linda (Chuck) Braymiller, and Jerry (Dee) Melford, 2 uncles, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Paul Dean Humphrey and step-daughter, Gail Lynn Perry Conley.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home; 4150 W. Laskey Rd. 419-473-0300 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover final expenses.
