Carol Jean Marginean, age 74, of Columbus, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 in her home. She was born on September 12, 1936 to Harold "Bud" and Alice Krieger in Toledo. Carol was a 1954 graduate of Whitmer High School. She was a snow bird with her siblings in Florida and also a member of the Bradenton Moose Lodge #1223. Carol enjoyed gambling, bingo and sewing. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Krieger and granddaughter, Lindsay Renee Spencer. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Emil J. Marginean; daughters, Lynn (Kirk) Spencer, Patti Berenstein and Jamie (Doug) Purcell; grandchildren, Shawn (Julie) Spencer, Brooke (Brad) Houillion, Adrian Berenstein, Audrey (Marco) Russo, Garrett Purcell and Kyle Purcell; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Ritenour and Cindy (Bill) Borer; brothers, Gary (Pam) Krieger, Brad (Sue) Krieger and Fred (Tina) Krieger; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) where Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry S. Craig. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
