Carol C. Gillespie

Carol C. Gillespie, formerly Sr. Therese Martin, age 83, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Foundation Park Alzheimer's Care Center. She was born on May 2, 1939 to Charles and Agnes (Richardson) Gillespie in North Branch, Michigan. Carol obtained her Bachelor's Degree in teaching and went on to teach for many years before retiring. She started out in Minnesota, then moved back to Ohio and taught in Bowling Green, then at SS. Peter and Paul in Sandusky and 15 years at Regina Coeli. After retirement, Carol taught painting and carousel classes out of her home. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Carol loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Carol's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Charles Gillespie; and sisters, Margaret, Chickie, Millie, Sr. Michelle, and Joyce. Left to cherish Carol's memory are her dear friend, Carol Trabbic; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Guests will be received on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy., Toledo, OH 43612 with Memorial Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. in church.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions in honor of Carol are asked to consider Foundation Park Alzheimer's Care Center.
