Carol Elizabeth Rathbun

Carol E. Rathbun, age 59, of Toledo, passed away March 18th, 2011 at her home. She was born December 4th, 1951 to Gerald and Dorothy (Schaefer) Finn in Toledo, Ohio. Carol was employed with the Imaging Group, through Lott Industries in connection with the Lucas County Courts for several years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Tom. Some of their most enjoyable trips were to Las Vegas, Disney World in Florida, Graceland, Savanna, Georgia and annual trips to Shipshewana. Most importantly, Carol treasured spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her mother Dorothy, Carol was preceded in death by her special aunt, Eleanor Schaefer. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Thomas D. Rathbun; brother, Edward Finn; aunt, Trudy Navarre of Lima, OH and cousins, Fred (Beverly) Schaefer of Maumee, OH, Donald Schaefer of CA, Dawn (Jim) Wingate, Darla Monroe and Diane Lauer all of Lima, OH. Also surviving are many dear and special friends.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2:8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Judson. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
