Carol J. Cuda, age 73, of Toledo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 15, 2018. She was born on June 3, 1944 to Casimir and Sophie (Lonc) Janicki in Toledo. Carol was a 1962 graduate of Woodward High School. Her first job was at Tiedtke's Department Store. It was there that she met the love of her life, Patrick Cuda. Carol's life was filled with family and friends. No one was ever a stranger because Carol made friends wherever she went. For many years she worked for Mongomery Wards and Maybelline Cosmetics, later retiring. She enjoyed playing cards and mahjong with her girlfriends. She also loved to gamble and made many trips to Vegas with her husband and friends. Above everything, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of nearly 52 years, Patrick A. Cuda; daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Moore, Karen Cuda-Troutman and Patti (Brian) Brown; grandchildren, Thomas Wonacott, Sarah Moore, Kady Wonacott, Benjamin Troutman, Abbigail Moore, Maxx Troutman, Daisy and Clover Brown; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Madison Wonacott; siblings, Marcy (John) Monico, Kathy Nijakowski, Sue (Dan) Klimek and Janice (Don) White; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Janicki.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Her Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
