Carol A. Crum

Carol A. Crum, age 77, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home in Waterville, OH. Born on December 31, 1947, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Reginald and Rosemary (Hoffman) Clark.

On November 5, 1966, Carol married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Al Crum. Carol dedicated her life to raising three wonderful children: Lisa, Christine and Jay who were her greatest joys and pride. Carol’s nurturing spirit and unwavering support provided them with a solid foundation as they pursued their dreams. Carol never had a bigger smile on her face or more love in her heart than when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Beyond her role as a mother, Carol graduated in 1965 from Waite High School. She was employed at the University of Toledo for 27 years. Carol served three terms as the President of Maumee River Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered.

Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Al, as well as her daughters Lisa (Cameron) Shandersky and Christine (Ron) Rekart, her son Jay (Denise) Crum, and her beloved grandchildren: Alex, Carter, Dylan, Reagan, Natalie, Lindsey, and Aiden, along with her great-granddaughter Whitley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judith Cross.

The family invites you to join them for visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Southwest Toledo Chapel, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Southwest Toledo Chapel with burial to follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
